Situated on the beautiful Ards Peninsula , this is Northern Ireland’s only public aquarium and seal sanctuary. It is a real hidden gem. Though the Peninsula has many must see attractions. A great day tour.
It is located in the beautiful village of Portaferry , with the Portaferry Hotel close by. That hotel serves the most magnificent food including , of course , the local seafood. It is highly recommended.
The aquarium’s live exhibits lead you from the rich tidal waters of Strangford Lough and out to the underwater world of the open sea.
