St. Mullins , County Carlow

An ancient riverside settlement in the picturesque Barrow Valley. The place takes its name from an important 7th century monastery founded here by St. Mo-Ling.

The remains of Teach Mo-Ling , his main foundation and his burial place , are near the Protestant church. This is also the burial site of the South Leinster Kings.
