1. Edmontosaurus Dinosaur

The most complete skeleton in display in Ireland from 70 million years ago.

2. Saint Patricks Regalia

The Order of Saint Patrick was established in 1783. Membership of it was used to reward the Irish nobility for their loyalty to the Crown at a time when a demand for greater independence was gaining momentum in Ireland.

3.Salamander

This little salamander is made of gold with insets of rubies. It is one piece of the fantastic collection on display from the Spanish Armada galleon “The Girona” which sank of the North Coast in the 16th Century.

4. Takabuti

Over 2500 years old and a very important mummy. Unique to Belfast.

5. Bann Disc

A part of the museums Iron Age collection. This bronze disc was dredged from the river Bann. It is considered to be one of the finest examples of Celtic design from this period.

6. The Malone Hoard

This unique collection of Stone Age axes was discovered in Belfast.

7. Snapshot of an Ancient Sea Floor

This amazing natural accumulation of fossil ammonite shells and driftwood represents a small patch of the sea floor dating back almost 200 million years.

8. Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678) Saint Christopher Carrying the Christ Child (circa 1630)

9. The Kildare Toilet Service

Originally commissioned for the wife of the 19th Earl of Kildare this is the most complete silver gilt toilet set remaining today.
