This is the Church of Ireland Cathedral in Limerick.
The Cathedral was founded in 1179 but has been repeatedly altered and added to.
However, it is worth a look on any tours of Ireland.
The West tower is particularly fine, with corner turrets and stepped battlements. It is 120 feet tall.
There are also a number of interesting monuments.
Our favourite is the monument to Donough O’Brien, Earl of Thomond, 1624.
That particular one is in the Pery Chapel.
Take a look at the misericords, which are fifteenth century and have grotesque carvings in black oak.
