Castle Menzies, Perthshire

This castle was the seat of the Menzies family.

It sits near the quaint village of Weem.

Definitely worth seeing on any tours of Scotland.


The castle dates from 1570 and additions were made in 1840.

It is certainly worth a visit.


Nearby is the old church at Weem is mentioned in charters as early as 1235.

The current building dates from 1510.

There are interesting stone crosses, and an interesting mural.


There is great history to be enjoyed in and around Weem.
