14 Jun Cobh Heritage Centre
Cobh is a unique Irish port town.
You may visit on a cruise ship (it is a major stopping point for cruise ships) , or on general Ireland tours.
Cobh was the most important port of emigration in the country. Right up to the 1960’s it was an important point of departure for many Irish folk looking for a new life beyond Irelands shores.
It was the last port of call for the ill fated Titanic , and a final resting place for the victims of the Lusitania sinking. Two historical tragedies closely related to Ireland.
Cobh Heritage Centre dramatically recalls these events in the renovated Victorian Railway Station.
Try visiting on any tours of Ireland. This is a must see attraction.
