Often when we have clients over here on Ireland tours they stay at the Culloden Hotel just outside Holywood.
It is named Holywood not because of its Glitz and Sparkle but because of its monastic history and a wooded area that was once much larger….it is in fact Holy Wood !
It is full of nice little coffee shops and a few great restaurants.
We like the coffee shop Loganberry and the Dirty Duck Pub/Restaurant especially.
But if you just fancy trying the best Guinness in Ireland then try the Maypole Bar…known to locals as Neds. It has great Guinness and an even better atmosphere.
So…if you find yourself near Holywood on your tours of Ireland , or if you want to have a quick trip off your cruise ship , you have plenty of options.
