22 Feb Miltown Malbray and Spanish Point
The coastline north of Kilkee is one of fine cliffs and sandy beaches , though not all of them are accessible on Ireland tours.
Doonbeg is accessible and is a relaxing spot where you will see seals and otters. There is also the beautiful and stunning White Strand beach about a mile north. A hidden gem if you like relaxing in real Ireland.
Also close by is Doughmore beach near Quilty which is excellent for surfers.(probably best to be experienced though)
Eighteen miles north of Kilkee is the lovely little Victorian resort of Miltown Malbray which comes alive in July when the traditional music festival takes place……a nice little stopover with some good local B&B s.
Further beyond Miltown Malbray you will find the excellent sandy swimming beach at Spanish Point.
If you are in County Clare on tours of Ireland try a few days around this coast.
