Pearse Museum is located in St Enda’s Park in Rathfarnham, approximately eight kilometres from Dublin city centre. The museum occupies the former home and school of Patrick Pearse, one of the leaders of the 1916 Rising.
Patrick Pearse’s home and school
Patrick Pearse lived here and operated his Irish-speaking school, Scoil Éanna, from 1910 to 1916. The museum explores his work as a teacher, writer and Irish-language campaigner, as well as the lives of his brother William and the school’s pupils.

The house contains exhibitions and historic rooms connected with the Pearse family and the school. The surrounding St Enda’s Park covers nearly 20 hectares and includes wooded areas, a river valley and historic landscape features.
