Skellig Michael…..Not a person….an island !

Island in the Atlantic, seven miles off the Kerry coast.

Skellig Michael was a monastery and place of pilgrimage first mentioned in 823.

Difficult to land on, it has six beehive huts with square interiors, two oratories (all built in the corbel technique), a cemetery, a hermitage, and a lighthouse.
