16 Nov The Four Provinces Of Ireland
If you are on any tours of Ireland you may pass through some, or all, of the provinces.
As a quick guide note that there are four provinces as follows.
“Ulster” is the Northern province and is part of the United Kingdom using Sterling as a currency.
There are six counties – Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Antrim, and Londonderry.
However, counties Cavan, Donegal, and Monaghan, while considered to be part of Ulster, are actually in the Republic of Ireland.
The currency in these counties is Euros.
“Leinster” is the Eastern province and is in the Republic of Ireland, using Euros as a currency.
The capital Dublin will be on most tours of Ireland.
“Munster” is the Southern province and is in the Republic of Ireland, using Euros as a currency.
The two big cities are Cork and Limerick.
The main city is Galway.
