Tralee , County Kerry

This county town is renowned for the Rose of Tralee contest , held every August. The Rose of Tralee song was written by local man William Mulchinock but the festival is much more than a beauty contest. During the 16th and 17th century the town was the principal seat of the Earls of Desmond.

Tralee is a picturesque town and a must see on your Ireland tours.
