Trossachs, Stirling

Trossachs, Stirling

This is one of the most celebrated beauty spots in Britain.

It is situated near Loch Lomond in Scotland.

The area is a must see on any tours of Scotland.

In fact, the Trossachs is a large forest park.

It is an area of wooded glens, forested braes, and beautiful lochs.

The name Trossachs comes from that of a small woodland glen that lies at the centre of the area.

That name is now applied to the wider region.

The Trossachs are flanked to the north by Ben A’an, and to the south west by Ben Venue.

Slopes of these Bens are richly covered with hazel trees, oak trees, birches, hawthorn, and rowan trees.

At Ireland and Scotland Luxury Tours we usually include a visit to the Trossachs with our stay at Cameron House, on the banks of Loch Lomond.

We also include a visit to Stirling Castle, the gateway to the Highlands.
