30 Jan Ulster America Folk Park
This is well worth visiting if you are in the area.
At Ireland and Scotland Luxury Tours we enjoy it as much as our clients.
It is very well done.
It tells the story of early emigrants to America.
Half of the park consists of a small Irish village.
This includes cottages, a church, and a Presbyterian meeting house.
Then you enter a full-sized mock-up of a ship.
This gives you a realistic view of crossing the Atlantic and the hardships that you would face.
Then you emerge to an authentic American settlement.
There are log cabins and barns.
All details are excellent and if your family travelled from Ireland to America it will give you a real feeling of what they experienced.
Try and see it on any Ireland tours.
