19 Mar Day five of our Ireland tour
We have decided to do a live blog on one of our Ireland tours as it happens….it might be an interesting exercise !!!
Its hard to believe we are already on day five of the tour. The clients seem very happy and they are astounded at how much they have seen so far.
After a fine breakfast at Sheen Falls Lodge we began our tour of the Ring of Kerry. Many people think that this is a must see attraction on any tours of Ireland….but do not ignore the Ring of Beara and the Dingle Peninsula !! They are true hidden gems !!
We drove from Kenmare through Killarney National Park taking in the views at Molls Gap and Ladies View. Both are simple world class.
Then after a visit to Muckross House we drove past Carragh Lake to Cahersiveen for a light lunch of fresh seafood.
Then we moved on to Waterville before taking the Coomakesta Pass to Caherdaniel. That pass is a tricky drive but definitely well worth it for the scenery and views.
From Caherdaniel we drove to Sneem for a coffee break ….with home made scones !!!
Then back through Kenmare to our perfectly situated hotel for a second night of luxury.
The clients have said that so far it is one of the best Ireland tours they have heard off and with a personal driver/guide so much more can be seen and experienced.
