Portstewart is a hidden gem on any tours of Ireland.
If you are visiting the North Coast go beyond the Giants Causeway and see Portstewart.
It is a beautiful little town on the coast with a nice harbour and shops along the main street. Those shops sell a selection of local goods at very reasonable prices plus there is an art shop selling local artists work.
There are excellent restaurants like the Ice House , the Anchor , and the Harbour Cafe with a range of local produce.
At night why not enjoy a pint in the Anchor…excellent craic !!! If you want to stay for the night the rooms are very comfortable.
There is a beautiful cliff walk around the imposing convent and a beach that is one of the longest and best in Ireland. You can hire wet suits and surf boards and enjoy the water.
For the golfers there is the famous Portstewart Golf Club , and the old course as well !
