25 Jan Saint Patricks Day at Slemish 2010
Slemish Mountain in County Antrim is about 1,500 ft above sea level, and is where Saint Patrick slaved in the fifth century. After six years, he escaped but later returned to devote the remainder of his life to bring Christianity to the Irish.
Slemish is still a place of pilgrimage in memory of Saint Patrick on Saint Patrick’s Day, 17 March.
If your tour of Ireland allows it visit on the 17th March 2010.
