Gleneagles is of course famous for golf tours of Scotland and the courses around are superb.
At Ireland and Scotland Luxury Tours it is often included in our golf packages.
The courses are not for the faint hearted golfer.

Gleneagles house, in Glen Eagles proper, was built in 1624.
It replaced the old moated castle which was there since the 14th Century.
It had been the home of the Haldanes.
But in 1799 the estate was bought by Viscount Duncan of Camperdown.
But it has since returned to the Haldane family.
